How to prepare and post images
Images for this site must be optimized so that they are:
- No wider than 400 pixels
- 72 pixels per inch (PPI)
- Under 50k in file size
- RGB color mode
Use theseĀ tutorials if necessary.
When adding a Post, be sure to:
- Copy the image from your own web site, along with the description and buy-now button, if you have it.
- Paste it into a new Post editing box of this web site.
- Usually with the Visual tab active.
- If you are pasting code rather than display, then paste into the HTML tab.
- Most of the time, the image links, site links, and buy-now buttons will copy in without needing reformatting.
- Paste it into a new Post editing box of this web site.
- If you don’t like that idea, then add images to Posts using the Upload Image function (icons right above the editing icons in the Post editing screen).
- Refrain from using the Caption field, as it interferes with the shadows and borders which will automatically appear when you publish a Post.
- Title the Post with the work’s title and your name; nothing else.
- Choose all the appropriate subĀ Categories:
- Artist
- Media
- Style
- Subject
- Also choose and add Tags that describe your work.
- Publish.
- View the new Post live so you can really see what it looks like.
- To edit, click the Edit link (small gray text under the Post).
