Last spring I took a picture of these daffodils and ribbon on a blue paper with writing. The textures it created were appealing.
I used scraffito on this claybord surface to suggest the writing and stamp image.
I plan to experiment with scraffito more this summer.

A local restaurant is home to this Buddha statue and hydrangeas. The atmosphere there is stunning, with large modern art and furniture.

It’s a rainy day here in Corvallis; a perfect day to paint something cheery like an orchid.
If I keep painting orchids will will have to learn their names. Does anyone know which one I’ve painted here?
