Last spring I took a picture of these daffodils and ribbon on a blue paper with writing. The textures it created were appealing.
I used scraffito on this claybord surface to suggest the writing and stamp image.
I plan to experiment with scraffito more this summer.

Today’s image is for the Different Strokes project. I’ve placed the original figure in New York overlooking the Hudson (I think), which gives him something to gaze at.

It’s a rainy day here in Corvallis; a perfect day to paint something cheery like an orchid.
If I keep painting orchids will will have to learn their names. Does anyone know which one I’ve painted here?
